What COVID-19 measures are you taking?

Answer

We are so excited to see all of our friends and family after the harrowing last year and a half. We are committed to ensuring our event takes place in a safe, healthy environment. Our wedding reception and ceremony will be completely outside and will comply with all state and local health and safety guidelines. Additionally, our vendors are committed to helping us host a safe event. Masking and social distancing preferences will be respected throughout the ceremony and reception. Additionally, we respect any added personal safety measures our guests feel will best protect themselves and their loved ones. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and know we will be excited to celebrate with you at a later date!

What is the Mount?

Answer

The Mount is the historic home and gardens of American author Edith Wharton. The home was designed and built by Edith Wharton in 1902. We are excited to share this special place with you. Only 5% of National Historic Landmarks are dedicated to women - The Mount is one of them. If you have any free time on your stay here in the Berkshires, we encourage you to tour the home and gardens at your leisure. https://www.edithwharton.org/

When will my invitation arrive?

Expect to see an invitation in the mail in May. If you haven’t already sent us your physical mailing address please take a minute right now to do so.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive at The Mount at 4:30 PM to enjoy a welcome drink and experience the magnificent grounds of Edith Wharton’s estate. Please note, a short walk is required to get from the parking area to the ceremony site. The ceremony will start at 5 o’clock.

Is there a dress code?

Our guests should expect a formal / cocktail formal event.

All guests are invited to bring a plus one. We look forward to celebrating with you and your date.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The Mount and our wedding will be best enjoyed by adults. If you need help arranging for childcare, please reach out to one of us to help you make arrangements.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please check out the Travel tab to see local accommodations where we have reserved room blocks and will provided transportation to and from the wedding venue.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Dinner will be family style, so we hope there is a selection to satisfy every diet. If you have any specific restrictions, or need more information about the dinner options, please reach out to one of us for more information.

Is there parking at the ceremony? How about the hotels?

Answer

Parking is available at The Mount. It is a about a five minute walk from the parking area to the ceremony location so please time your arrival accordingly. All of the hotels listed on the Travel tab have free guest parking.

Is there transportation to and from my lodging to the ceremony?

Answer

Coach transportation to and from The Mount will be provided from the hotels listed on the Travel tab. Please ask the front desk for more information when you check in. Please note, the Berkshires are quite rural. Ride shares, public transportation, and taxies are typically not available.
