Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Emily Crawford and Nicholas Schessl
Welcome to Nick and Emily's favorite place in the world! We decided to get married in this less-explored section of the Adirondacks because we wanted to share the natural beauty of this place with the people we love. We highly recommend taking some time to explore the area and go for an outdoor adventure.

Paul Smith's VIC

8023 New York 30, Paul Smiths, NY 12970

This is where our wedding reception will be held, but it's an awesome place for any visitors to come and learn more about the wildlife and ecology of the North Country. There are tons of walking and hiking trails here for you to explore!

Hiking Trails for all Levels

Here are a few great day hikes that we recommend! -Black Pond Trail Loop: ~2.5 miles, easy & flat -Baker Mountain: ~2.5 miles, easy uphill -Jenkin’s Mountain Trail: ~8 miles round trip, moderate -St. Regis Mountain: ~7 miles round trip, moderate -Ampersand Mountain: ~5.3 miles, hard

Biking the Rail Trail

It is a mostly flat, paved, car-free biking path that connects Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Tupper Lake. Bring your own bike or check out local bike rental options.

Canoe/Kayak/Boat

Paddle Lower St. Regis Lake right from the campsite and its many connected waterways. Grab a paddler’s map and explore one of our favorite places in the world!

Fishing

The lakes and rivers around our wedding venue offer some amazing fishing. The Lower St. Regis is home to large and smallmouth bass, northern pike, perch, walleye, bullhead, a variety of panfish, and more. Many ponds and streams in the surrounding area also offer incredible fishing for several trout species.
