Perhaps the most beautiful beach on the east coast. Aside from beach walks, we highly recommend the following: - Lighthouse Beer & Wine - cute bottle shop with a great outdoor beer garden - Drift Coffee - nice spot to grab a delicious brunch - Sundays Cafe - fave pre-beach walk coffee spot (they have drafts & wine as well) - Lagerheads - best long time dive bar on the beach with a nifty outdoor "front porch" - Oceanic - ocean front and pier dining (pina coladas aren't on the menu, but so good) - Dockside - sound-side casual dining, best place for a bloody mary - G-Prime - high end steakhouse just off the island, delicious - Brasserie Du Soleil - French fine dining with breezy outdoor seating just off the island - Hallelu - adorable women's clothing and accessory boutique
Wilmington
Emily's home town of Wilmington is full of hidden gems. Here are a few she's shared with Nathan over the years: - K-38 - texmex restaurant that has been a local (and family) staple for forever. worth it. - Yosake - downtown sushi restaurant with a fun vibe and daily happy hour food menu - Mad Mole Brewery - hidden little local brewery with a nice staff and good beer - Downtown Boardwalk - lots of shops, restaurants, and historic sites along the river walk - USS North Carolina - aka the battleship. immersive self guided tour through history - The Ibis - uber cool coffee cafe that turns into cocktails & caviar at night - Cugino Forno - favorite pizza spot next door to hi wire brewing
