Ours is a classic love story. Girl and boy both sign up for a dating app. Girl and boy both swipe right. A match! Girl likes boy's calves, is tired of the back and forth superficial chatting that happens on dating apps, and figures there's no harm in asking him out for a drink right away. The girl's opener: "Hey good lookin'" (obviously speaking directly to the boy's calves). He accepts! We are that girl and boy: Emily and Mike. We enjoyed our time at the bar whose name I can't remember, Mike made me laugh, and he was down to sign up for the trivia that was going on that night, and the rest is history! We have more or less been inseparable ever since. We hung out frequently enough that we don't even remember what date we met, so once we hit Feb 1 each year we can safely assume we've passed our annual anniversary. Now it's time to make it official!
