Why not?! We love to travel and experience new cultures and when we got engaged in Morocco we knew we wanted a unique destination for our wedding. We completely understand that your time and budgets are both valuable and may be limited but we would love for you to experience a new place with us. We tried to choose a location that was budget-friendly and closer to the US and we sincerely hope that you will join us!
You'll need to fly in to GUA airport in Guatemala City. Antigua is about an hour away. Our amazing planner is partnered with a travel agency and will arrange private transport so once you land, you'll find your private, english-speaking driver and hit the road! Please message patty@brideandgroomgt.com to coordinate your pick up.
Yes, you'll need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months past your entry date into Guatemala.
The dress code is black-tie. For men, pants and a suit jacket and women long dresses. We would not recommend women in stiletto style shoes, there are cobblestone sidewalks that may make walking a little tricky, especially after a few cocktails!
While we love your kiddos, this is a 21+ event. We want you to enjoy Antigua, and we know you could probably use a vacation, so please leave the kids at home.
Please arrive at 4 p.m. to find a seat for the ceremony.
Please see the travel page for suggested local hotels!
Unfortunately, our venue has strict limitations on capacity. Unless your invitation is specifically addressed to you and your guest, we cannot accommodate additional guests.
Our ceremony will be outdoors in the garden. Dinner and dancing will be in the open-air temple.
Temperatures in Antigua in April can range from 58 - 86 F. While the rainy season doesn't technically start until May it's always best to prepare for potential rain.
Guatemala uses the same outlets as the US however, most plugs are only 2 prongs. If your item requires 3 prongs you will need to bring an adapter.
Antigua is incredibly walkable but Uber is also readily available in the city!
