Flight
At a little over an hour's drive away, Springfield's airport is the closest to Lake of the Ozarks. We fly Allegiant between LAX and SGF often. Springfield is also a wonderful college town (and hometown of our favorite Midwest Princess, Chappell Roan), and we highly recommend checking out the local restaurants, breweries, and hotels there.
Flight
Downtown Kansas City, especially on a weekend night, is one of Emily's and Matt's favorite places for live music, speakeasy throwbacks, and phenomenal BBQ! We fly into MCI frequently, and it is a 3.5 hour drive to Lake of The Ozarks
Flight
St. Louis is also a three-hour drive from Lake of the Ozarks. Many cool towns lie between St. Louis and Lake of the Ozarks including Columbia and Jefferson "Jeff" City. Hannibal, North of St. Louis, is also nice to visit.
Hotel
We recommend this golf resort with lake access nearby all wedding festivities.
Hotel
At about 40 minutes by land and by water, this is a bit further from wedding festivities. However, it has lake access and is fun for families. Matt and Emily get drinks and enjoy the pool here every visit!
Travel Note
We recommend using a car to get to and from The Lake House, as rideshare is available but can be limited. Please carpool, as parking is limited. Designate a sober driver too! These roads are dark, winding, and full of wildlife. Do not take any risks. The Lake of the Ozarks is a BIG place where sites of interest are spaced apart. Please don't hesitate to ask questions and use Google to ensure your accommodations are not two hours away! Camdenton is the most convenient town, and Osage Beach is second-most-convenient. "The Quietside" and "Niangua Arm" both refer to the area where we are.
Travel Note
We recommend looking into private houses and condos available for rent. VRBO.com has been an excellent resource.
