As two people who love Jesus, adventure and travel, the World Race was the perfect setting for our first meeting. As we traveled and led together we were able to see each other cope (and even thrive) in extreme circumstances. From doing ministry together in Paris, Jordan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China our trust in one another and friendship grew quickly. After returning home that summer I knew I would be going out with the World Race one last time. Matthew patiently waited until I had returned to finally pursue a relationship and so we began dating in June of 2019. Although Matthew lived in TN and I would still be living in FL, we found that although long distance was extremely challenging, it was not impossible! We eventually found a rhythm and our communication grew strong. 2020 was a tough year, but we saw many exciting accomplishments. Matthew got accepted into medical school at LMU where he will begin classes this fall with hopes of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. I began a Masters of Divinity program through Grace Theological Seminary and I am halfway to earning my degree. Matt also purchased his first home and has made a lot of progress remodeling it. So finally, before this crazy year ended, he proposed! And here we are, so excited to be making a covenant of unity in front of our beloved community.
Without so many people praying for us, encouraging us, challenging us and supporting us we would have never made it here. This is why we are so excited to be celebrating this crazy transition with all of you. We are praising God for caring for us, providing for us and allowing us to learn more about His character through the sacred act of marriage. We love you so much, and can't wait to share this special day together. See you at the end of the aisle!
