What time is check in at Barothy?

Answer

Check in time is after 4:00 p.m. and check out time is before 1:00 p.m.

Question

Do ALL guests have to check in at Barothy?

Answer

All guests, including day guests, must register at the office, indicate the number of night/day(s) they plan to stay, and get a vehicle pass.

Question

Are there quiet hours at Barothy?

Answer

Noise curfew is midnight to 9am.

Question

Do I have to bring my own linens and towels?

Answer

We supply linens and towels. You may wish to bring beach towels for use in units with hot tubs and/or when using the swimming pool.

Do I need to bring my own food or plan meals in advance?

Answer

Dinner and light beverages will be provided Friday night for those traveling. On Saturday, guests are encouraged to either try out some of the recommended restaurants or come prepared with meals to cook for breakfast and lunch. Dinner and drinks will be provided in the evening during the reception. As a reminder, each lodge has its own kitchen and dining setup. You’ll have a coffee maker in your lodge, so remember to bring coffee!

Is smoking allowed in the lodges?

Answer

In compliance with Michigan’s Smoke-Free Air Law all our lodges are non-smoking. Guests who do not comply will be charged a recovery fee to restore the lodge to a smoke-free condition.

Can I park at the Main Lodge?

Answer

Parking will be limited at the main lodge, so if you are staying at one of the lodges please try to carpool or walk to the main events at the Main lodge.

Who will be staying in my lodge?

Answer

Lodge assignments have been added as a separate tab on the wedding website for those who expressed interest.

What should I pack?

Answer

A warm sweater or jacket for the chilly weather, comfortable shoes for uneven ground, a bathing suit for the hot tubs in each lodge, and personal toiletries like shampoo and conditioner.

Will there be parking at the ceremony location?

Answer

Someone will be available to assist with parking for anyone driving their own vehicle to the ceremony location 4345 n. Stephanie dr. Please try to carpool as much as possible as there is limited space.

Question

Can I go fishing during down time?

Answer

Yes! Please bring your own fishing gear if you’d like to fish, and make sure you already have your fishing license.
