Emily walked through the door on her first day of high school and took her assigned seat at the front of the class. Two seats to the right sat a boy with funny long hair who was joking around with his friends. Emily thought to herself, "NERD." By the end of sophomore year though, she and this nerd were not just study buddies, but high school sweet hearts.
After attending Long Beach City College for a few years, Marcos and Emily were ready for the big leagues. When Emily learned about Humboldt State University, the pair went to visit the campus and both fell in love with the school and its beautiful scenery. In 2017, Marcos earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation and Management, with a minor in Political Science. Since graduation, Marcos has been working in Southern California as an analytical chemist, and Emily has been working on seasonal wildlife field jobs near and far.
Marcos and Emily are currently settled in Temple City, California with their children, Frankie, Sam, April, Gorn, and Lucy. Marcos is working as a quality control chemist in San Dimas (excellent!), and Emily is working as an exotic animal veterinary technician in Culver City. After years of long distance and travel, they are happy to have a home together again and look forward to all that lies ahead!
