Emily had her eye out for Luke long before they met. Luke is best friends with Emily's cousin, Shaw, and she had seen Luke in Shaw's snapchat stories and out & about several times. She would always ask about the cute brown headed boy. Emily just knew that as much as she asked about Luke her cousin would take it into his own hands and become a wing man. But, she was wrong. After months, maybe even years, Luke messaged Emily and asked to take her out to dinner next time she was home from Tuscaloosa. The two went out to dinner for Luke's birthday.... and the rest is history! Love at first sight is cliche, but there is no other way to put it.

Luke proposed to Emily on October 25th 2019 at his parents home! Luke told Emily to be at his mom & dad's around 5:30 because they were going to go get dinner. It was pouring rain the night of their engagement, and Emily insisted they stay home and not get out in the messy weather. Emily was about 2 hours late, and if you know her at all it takes you by no surprise. Emily went upstairs to throw on last minute lipstick and blush before leaving for dinner, and when she came back downstairs Luke called her into the foyer to "look at something." Luke was down on one knee with their dog Belle with a pumpkin in one hand that said "Will you marry me?" and a ring in the other. They celebrated with family & friends after!
