FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Ladies could wear dresses or slacks and the gentlemen could wear dress pants, a dress shirt and a tie or sports coat. We ask that you do not wear white or jeans! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us!

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

If your guest's name is listed on your invitation when you RSVP, then yes! An example would be "(Your name) & Guest" if a plus one if given to you. Luke and I are very blessed to have lots of close family and friends, so due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture this special day! We ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We would hate for their shots to have phones/cameras in them! After the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you want!

Question

What if I forget to RSVP?

Answer

If you show up without RSVPing there might not be a seat or meal for you. If you miss the RSVP deadline, please send us a text as soon as you can, and we will try our best to work something out. We are not able to guarantee anything, which is why it is important that you RSVP before our deadline. Our vendors need a guest count just after that deadline date, so the sooner you get your RSVP in, the easier it will be for us to make sure our special day runs smoothly.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! We have added their names to the RSVP list. If we are missing someone, please text Emily at 563-676-2311 to make sure they have a meal/seat. We will also be providing crayons/coloring sheets!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm. Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow yourself to sign the guest book and find a seat.

Question

Will there be assigned seating?

Answer

We will not have assigned seating for guests - please feel free to sit wherever you'd like! We will have a few seats reserved at the ceremony and reception for our immediate families (parents & grandparents), but the rest is open!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The event center has a large gravel parking lot to accommodate our guests for both the ceremony & reception.

Question

Will there be alcohol provided?

Answer

We will have beer and a small selection of alcohol, however, we may not have exactly what you want to drink. Feel free to bring your favorite beverages!!

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as you can so we can continue our planning process accordingly. However, the deadline is September 15, 2026. Please refer to our RSVP page to respond. Simply type in your name and your own RSVP page will show up. Thank you!
