The best things in life are found when you are not looking. That is how the story of Kristina and Emily began. Kristina and Emily both found themselves at a hockey rink in the midst of summer having remembered each other through their mutual friend Nicole. Friendly locker-room conversations ensued and after Kristina developed enough courage, she asked for Emily’s phone number. Text and phone conversations were had in abundance and as the next few weeks went by, Kristina decided she would host a “dinner party”. Little did Emily know that she would be the only guest. Kristina invited “everyone in her phone book”, very well knowing that all her friends were out of town and could not attend, but Emily could. It was a sly plan that neither Emily nor Kristina knew would turn into one of the best nights of their life. Kristina cooked a beautiful dinner consisting of roasted chicken, green beans, smashed potatoes and a delicious white bean and escarole dish, but it seemed as if the only thing that mattered was their nervously beating hearts engaging in effortless conversation. After dinner, the conversations continued on the back deck beneath the stars for nearly six hours until it was time for Emily to journey home to Woburn. Kristina graciously shook Emily’s hand. Upon Emily arriving home, Kristina sent a text to Emily, which read, “Thank you for admiring the sky with me”. It was the very beginning of a relationship and friendship that would develop into the marriage that begins on September 17, 2022. Kristina and Emily are so excited to celebrate and “admire the sky” with everyone.
