Wedding plans are moving forward for September 18th and we would like to share a few important health and safety measures. As COVID-19 continues to spread, we want to ensure the safest event possible. We are aiming to reduce the risk of spread for all our guests, particularly those who are at high risk. For guests who are not fully vaccinated, we personally ask each one of you to take a COVID test 2 days prior to the event (9/16). Please locate your nearest testing facility at https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/2524.htm. If you test positive, please stay home and take care of yourself. We would also like to let you know that the Renaissance Hotel now requires unvaccinated guests to wear a facemask when inside. All workers must be masked up. Please know that they safety of all our guests is the main priority. We want everyone to feel welcome but stay safe as possible.
If you are unable to make it our ceremony we would still love for you to be apart of our day safely. You can watch the wedding ceremony at the link listed below. The mass starts at 02:30 09/18/21. https://ologn.org/live Emily and Korey

Emily and Korey met at Camp Krietenstein in 2016 while working their summer jobs. Korey’s first impression of Emily left him a little intimidated. Emily made a strong impression, despite the not-so-flattering camp uniforms. Emily had the absolute wrong impression of Korey at first, thinking he was more of a player, but she quickly learned more about who he actually was. Korey knew right away that Emily was the one. In his own words, “I was a bit of a loser and begged to date her” after camp had ended. Emily said that it wasn’t one specific moment that made her realize, but rather “after awhile I could see a future with him so clearly.” Korey most looks forward to “growing old with Emily and helping each other achieve our dreams. I want the best for her and she wants the best for me. I want to buy a house with her, start a family, start careers we are passionate about, and one day retire. I hope one day I can afford the horse she keeps wanting me to buy.” Emily said “I look forward the most to growing old together. Looking back on photos from where we started always make me smile. We have both grown so much and I’m excited to see where the future takes us. So, knowing that we have forever to spend together is what I look forward to most.” Korey summed it up best with, “She is my forever (and Booker and Aries of course).”
Korey and Emily had previously visited Chicago over the summer of 2019 and knew they wanted to come back around Christmas time to enjoy the city during the holidays. They decided to plan a weekend getaway with a close childhood friend Jamie, and her boyfriend Scottie. While exploring the city's wonderful views, Korey wanted to stop by a park that they had visited in the summer. Emily knew there was a dog park there and had to see the dogs so of course she said yes. After petting many, many dogs, they wandered away to see some Christmas lights and before Emily knew it, Korey was down on one knee giving her his best speech and asking her to marry him. She said yes! We're so excited to spend this time together and with you.
