Kevin and I met at a party on a June night in 2012, just as our junior year of high school was coming to an end. Up until that night, our paths had never crossed—but that changed quickly. Aside from a few close friends, I honestly can’t remember anyone else at the party because Kevin and I spent the entire night talking. There was an instant connection between us, something that just felt easy and right. But when the night ended, we went our separate ways—no numbers exchanged, just a quiet hope we'd see each other again. Somehow, we did. Within a few weeks, we found our way back—thanks to a strategic Instagram follow and the one and only backyard fire I ever hosted at my house (which may or may not have been planned to make sure Kevin and his friends would come over). That summer became one I’ll never forget—falling in love as high school sweethearts. Our first date was a trip to the driving range, followed by dinner at Newport Creamery (ah, young love). We spent countless nights driving around with Frank Ocean playing through the speakers of Kevin's mom's Corolla, or just hanging out at Crescent Park—where Kevin officially asked me to be his girlfriend. And from there... the rest is history. Over the past 13 years, we’ve grown up side by side—graduating high school, earning our college degrees, starting our careers, getting engaged, and moving in together. There’s nothing better than sharing all of life’s big moments—and the quiet, everyday ones—with your favorite person. We’ve talked about this day for as long as I can remember, and now it’s finally here. After all this time, we can’t wait to finally say “I do” after 13 years.
