Our story begins thanks to a few of our favorite people — Katie, Alex, and Ben. Kevin had been to The Oaks a few times before we ever officially met, but at the time, I didn’t really know who he was. Whenever he sat at the bar, I’d simply label his tab as “Ben’s friend” because, well, that’s all I knew! Everything changed at Katie’s surprise 30th birthday party. I had just arrived and was feeling a bit nervous when Ben decided to play matchmaker. He cornered me and insisted that I had to come say hi to Kevin. I went along with it, and as it turns out, that little introduction was the start of something amazing. Not long after, we went on our very first date at Chicken Licks — and it quickly became our place. To this day, we still find ourselves going back there regularly, reminiscing about where it all began and how far we’ve come. From that night on, we’ve been inseparable. The past six years have been filled with laughter, love, adventures, and countless memories. Together, we’ve built a beautiful life — one that includes our two sweet fur babies and, most recently, our greatest blessing, Liam. Somehow, he’s already six months old and keeping us on our toes every single day! We’re so grateful for the life we’re creating together and for the friends who helped bring us together in the first place. Who would have thought that a “Ben’s friend” bar tab and a basket of Chicken Licks would lead us here?❤️
