Welcome to our wedding at the disco

Dating in a pandemic - that begins our narrative. In the midst of 2020 with quarantines, restaurants and bars closing, and social distancing being a new concept for the year, one would say that trying to find love while being at home isn't for the faint of heart. In times like these, dating apps became a prominent source of entertainment; whether it be to converse with strangers to reawaken a sense of socialization or to actually find companionship with someone and just hope they were who they said they were on their bio. It was on a November just 3 days prior to Thanksgiving, that these two "swiped right on each other." On sites like Bumble, it's only the rules that the girls have to make the first move. With every ounce of nervousness as to how this could honestly go, Emily says to Kenneth "I like your music taste." And to her response, Kenneth replies immediately and conversation begins to ensue about music. Fast forward to two weeks later of conversation, it was time for a first date! Pop Punk Night was just around the corner and the two were excited to meet over their favorite thing; music. Of course, Covid had other plans. The first date turned out being at Chuy's because who doesn't love a Tex-Mex staple. Over tacos and margaritas, the conversation flowed and at that point, a friendship emerged. After a variety of dates early on, from Dave and Busters, to dinners, to a drive-in movie, the dates continued to get more and more natural and a relationship began to emerge. Fast forward to February 6th, 2021 when Kenneth and Emily had a painting night. There, they shared music and began to share art with one another. Suddenly, Calling You-Blue October starts playing and in that moment of painting and singing along, it clicked. They had to be together. Suddenly, each other had found themselves with not only a best friend, but a concert buddy, a confidant, a supporter, a hype-man, a life coach, and eventually a soulmate. July 22, 2022, Kenneth asked Emily to be his forever on a stage in front of 700 people. Many would say that was a very bold endeavor; but now, they're forever.
