Maid of Honor
Lizzie is the Bride’s younger sister. Emily and Liz have a lifetime of funny and cringey memories together, one of Emily’s favorites with Liz is the one month they spent hiking the Camino de Santiago, exploring different cities, and eating a lot of paella in Spain together. One day they hope to travel to Peru or Iceland together (long live sister trips!) Through the good times and the not-so-good times Liz has been there, and Emily is so glad to have a built-in best friend for life.
Bridesmaid
Grace is one of Emily’s longest friends. They met the first day of fourth grade when Grace’s mom and Emily’s Grandma suggested that they upgrade their table-mate relationship to being best friends forever. Thank goodness they followed their advice! Grace is a kind, wise, and lovely friend and she is a Jane Austen expert!
Bridesmaid
Katy and Emily became friends after they met at the Chapel church when they were younger. Emily, Lizzie, Katy, and Katy’s sister Cami used to put on wonderful dance performances for their dads after hours of creative practice. Although Emily and Katy spend more time crafting and cooking when they get together, don’t be surprised if you see the two of them tearing up the dance floor!
Bridesmaid
Aside from being one of Taylor Swift’s biggest fans and a line-dancing queen, she is also Kaleb’s younger sister. Among one of the busiest people at Calvin University, Chloe is involved with admissions, the Calvin center for faith and writing, intramurals, student philanthropy council, orientation leadership, and Younglife all on top of a double major.
Bridesmaid
Natalie is the Groom’s youngest sister, and Kaleb’s biggest Settler of Catan rival. Seriously, she will beat you somehow. Fresh off the boat from a semester abroad in Liverpool, Natalie is a marketing major with an emphasis on sales - and posting on Instagram apparently.
Best Man
Kaleb’s best man, Dave is one of those people who you cross paths with earlier in life and later on discover the importance of it. Officially meeting for the first time on the walk back to the dorms from their first college class freshman year, together they have since spent countless hours gaming and discussing cars, career, and life. In addition, Dave was the first to refer to the bride and groom as a couple and had the most front-row seat to the start of their relationship. Dave is the kind of person who is the first to offer a helping hand, and most likely to go above and beyond for his friends.
Groomsman
Friends from way way back, Kaleb and Jake can first be pictured together as toddlers, but when Jake officially moved to the states from China, their lifelong friendship solidified. First as tennis duo partners, and then on the bowling team, he and the groom have spent countless hours contemplating the world, current affairs, and life (most of which were in dark basements, ice cream parlor parking lots, or on a longboard).
Groomsman
Kaleb’s oldest cousin and impressive achiever, Luke is a man of many hats. As a Hope College Tug of war captain (it’s a big deal), Standards Chair of the Arcadian Fraternity - and running for president of the frat next year, computer science and business double major, Luke aims high. Luke also happens to be the first family member to have met Emily while touring Calvin, and the first to give approval.
Groomsman
Evan is the Bride’s younger brother. He missed the last family wedding, so we’re all hoping that he makes it to Emily and Kaleb’s. Evan is an avid sports fan and knows pretty much any player you can think of in football, baseball, and basketball. He comes home from college many weekends to hang out with his friends, but Emily and Kaleb know that he secretly just wants to hang out with them.
Groomsman
Elijah is the Bride’s youngest brother. While Evan knows a lot about every sport, Elijah is good at every sport. In fact, he has beat Kaleb at basketball too many times to count. Through the years Emily has loved cheering Elijah on at football games and cheering him on in life. The Bride and Groom couldn’t be happier to have Elijah standing with them on their big day.
