Josie and Emily met through a mutual friend named Maggie. Her lovely face is featured on the meet the bridal party page. One day, Maggie had told Emily that one of her friends from Wisconsin (Cheese Country) was coming to visit and meet all the friends in Grand Rapids. On October 16th, 2020 a small gathering was held, and Josie and Emily maybe said hello once, and just admired each other for the evening. The following day, the 17th, we all met up for lunch at Bob's Sports bar. It was here they locked eyes multiple times. It was here Josie saw and was beyond impressed by Emily's art. It was here Emily thought for the first time how cute Josie's Wisconsin accent was. (Yes, Wisconsinors have an accent) But the true beginning of their story starts later that same evening. What better place for a love to blossom than a small house party? Lucky for Emily, while she was playing music, she heard Josie yelling over the noise, "Who's on the aux?" This made Emily instantly panic in fear she was choosing bad music to play. But once she yelled back "ME!" Josie smiled and made her way over to Em. Easy excuse to get to talking with her. They spent the rest of the evening talking, sharing music, and sharing laughs. At the end of the night as goodbyes were being said to everyone, Josie and Emily wanted to make sure the attraction was known, a little squeeze of the hand in parting was all they needed. (Pride and Prejudice anyone?) After that it was easy to fall in love. They shared what felt like an infinite amount of music to one another, and talked all hours of the night. Josie even had plans to move to Arizona, but it took no convincing to have her move to Michigan instead. Their love is immeasurable, and continues to grow each day.
