We met in 10th grade art class at CNS high school. We happened to sit next to each other, not knowing it was the start to a lifelong friendship and marriage.

After years of being friends we both realized we could be something more. In December 2015 Josiah decided to take a chance and bought a pink rose and carnation. He presented them to me in his car at Cicero Fire Station 2 on our way to Denny's. We attended the Cicero Fire Department Christmas party together a couple days later and shortly after had our first official date at Dominick's Restaurant in Syracuse, New York.

We got engaged at Clift Park in Skaneateles, New York on May 27, 2023. Josiah's always loved Skaneateles since his trips as a kid so he thought it would be the perfect spot to ask me to marry him. We were spending time in the park waiting for our reservation time for a nice dinner at the Sherwood Inn when he got down on one knee and proposed.
