One of the groom's favorite places of all time. It also just happens to be one of the most popular bird and wildlife photography parks in the area. Take your cameras, binoculars, sunblock, and walking shoes (on the maintained trails and boardwalk) with you - and please say hello to the Great Blue Heron if you see them!
The waterfront is right by our venue and has plenty of food and drink along its scenic walkway and marina. You can also catch river boat tours to experience crossing the Potomac to National Harbor or to Mt. Vernon.
According to a quick Google search, Alexandria has more than 100 independently owned boutiques, most of which can be found along King Street. Check out Pop's Old Fashion Ice Cream AND (not or) The Creamery while you're here - we promise you won't regret it.
One of the first times that Emily ever spent with Beth and Tom (Devin's parents) was at the Old Town Farmer's Market! Each Saturday during peak season, right in front of City Hall (where we also just so happened to obtain our marriage license), you'll find vendors offering all kinds of fresh foods and drinks and other handmade items.
Despite the name, you do NOT have to have a bike or ride a bike to experience these views. We specifically recommend parking near and exploring the Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve.
