Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking is easy and plentiful at Elizabeth Furnace. If you need to leave your car overnight, you can, but you should plan to pick it up before noon on Sunday.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but we are planning primarily an adults-only celebration with the exception of some close family!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire Please note that there is some walking between the ceremony, cocktail area, and the reception including on grass and gravel surfaces. Weather permitting, both the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside on grass. We encourage comfortable shoes.

Are you having an "unplugged" ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We have a photographer who will capture the ceremony and look forward to sharing his photos with all of you. We ask the you put your phones etc. away during the ceremony and just enjoy it without any screens!

Are kids welcome at the Welcome Drinks on Friday?

Answer

Definitely! If you're local or are making a weekend out of it with your family, kids are welcome on Friday night at Appalachian Brewing Company.

Do you know of any local babysitters?

Answer

We know that some guests are making a family trip out of the weekend, but might need childcare for the ceremony and reception. Please reach out to Emily or John if you're in need of childcare. We don't have a list, per se, but could help you make some local connections!
