If you want to explore another RI beach town, Narragansett is a popular area about 40 mins up the cost. The town is known for great seafood, landmarks like the Point Judith Lighthouse and Narragansett Town Beach, and is the namesake of RI's local light beer.
A bit further up the cost, about an hour from Watch Hill, you will find the popular town of Newport. Newport is also known for the Gilded Age mansions lining Bellevue Avenue, some of which are now museums, and their beautiful downtown filled with shops and seaside dining.
If you head south into Connecticut, the village of Mystic is just under a 30 minute drive. Mystic is home to the Mystic Aquarium, many shops and waterfront restaurants, and the famous Mystic Pizza.
