The open house will be at the O'Connor/Clark household at 139 Live Oak Drive, Ventura, CA 93001, starting at 12pm on Saturday. There will be a delicious lunch spread, good conversation, and flower arranging. The brewery crawl will start at 2 pm at MadeWest Brewing located on the Ventura Pier. After that we will walk to Topa Topa Brewing, and then venture on to Ventura Coast Brewing to finish up. There will be food trucks at both Topa Topa and Ventura Coast. The wedding dinner will be buffet-style Greek cuisine. We have accounted for vegetarian and gluten-free needs, but please reach out directly to Emily if you have a specific allergy or dietary restriction (e.g., vegan).
Wondering what to wear?: Wedding attire is coastal cocktail - this includes: suits, dress pants and a jacket, dresses, fun jumpsuits, etc. No's: Jeans, shorts, white dresses Emily + Jimmy tip: We love a strong statement look so if you want to go bold, be bold! On shoes: The adobe has a hard-packed gravel floor and will likely be dusty. We recommend sturdier heels and shoes that are easily cleaned (e.g., avoid cloth/suede shoes and stiletto heels) On weather/temperature: Ventura is a coastal city and the adobe is within a mile of the beach. We recommend bringing a warm sweater or jacket/coat for when the sun goes down and if there's an ocean breeze.
We recommend carpooling and/or using uber/lyft to get to the venue. We have arranged a charter bus to take guests from the Olivas Adobe to the after party. Please keep in mind that if you are taking the bus, you cannot leave your car parked at the Adobe overnight, so please arrive via carpool, rideshare, or taxi.
There are 2 parking lots allocated to the venue. Both are accessible from Olivas Park Drive. Turn Right to park in the Olivas Adobe parking lot, or Left to park at Olivas Links. Cars are not allowed to be left overnight at the venue.
Ventura in late May can fluctuate between sunny and 73 and cloudy and 60 with light rain. We recommend looking at weather closer to the date and prepping accordingly. Check out our Things To Do In Ventura tab!
