Avoiding the extra cost of parking in the school lot, we decided to fight for spots on the street in front of North High School our senior year. It took one comment from Emily, "Nice sunglasses!" and a shared Humanities class to bring us together. We went our separate ways at the end of senior year for college, Jeremy to Iowa and Emily to Indiana. It wasn't until the spring of 2020 when we reconnected again, 8 years later. What started as a brief Facebook message from Emily about a high school classmate, turned into a year and a half of long-distance dating, a move to Manitowoc, and an engagement in November of 2023. It's been fourteen years since we first met- and can not wait any longer to be married!
