Like many modern-day couples, Emily and Jeremy met on Hinge in June 2024 (shoutout to the app that started it all). After a few dates getting to know one another, it didn’t take long for them to realize there was something special between them. That summer quickly became one to remember, as they spent as much time together as possible—traveling back and forth between Arlington and Haymarket, and especially enjoying weekend trips to their happy place: the lake. As the months flew by, Emily’s cat, Billy, officially accepted Jeremy into the family, and their relationship continued to grow deeper with each passing day. In April 2025, they stepped into an exciting new chapter and moved into their first home together in Aldie, Virginia. Emily introduced Jeremy to her family’s home away from home—Aruba—for the first time. Exactly one year later, they returned to the island, where Jeremy surprised Emily with a beautiful proposal, surrounded by her family in her favorite slice of sunny paradise. It was the perfect day and the easiest "yes" of Emily's life. Now, Emily and Jeremy are savoring this season of engagement and joyfully looking forward to the day they begin their next chapter together as husband and wife. They feel incredibly blessed to have found each other and cannot wait to celebrate with the people they love most on May 8, 2027.
