Universal Studios Hollywood
Jeff is a tour guide for the World Famous Studio Tour, so we spend a lot of time here. Great for families and kids, especially for a three day weekend! Plus you can go to Hogsmeade and Springfield!! What's not to love?
Montrose Shopping District
Honolulu Avenue is right near where we live and it is THE place to hang out in our neck of the woods. Lots of great restaurants, shops, and on Sundays they have the best Farmer's Market around (with Pony Rides!!). Some of our favorite spots are Basin 141 for brunch, Ocean View Bar and Grill for dinner, and Avignone's for drinks!
The Broadwater Plunge
Our favorite bar, which just happens to be part of the Broadwater Theatre Complex, home to one of our favorite theatre companies: Sacred Fools! Great signature cocktails and a cool speakeasy vibe.
Descanso Gardens
The spot where Jeff proposed! Beautiful gardens and historical site in La Canada, right around the corner from our house. Fun for the whole family!
The Gamble House
Emily was a junior docent here in middle school. Architecture students from around the world study it. Doc Brown lives there in BACK TO THE FUTURE! It's the world famous Gamble House in Pasadena!
Mexicali Cocina Cantina
There's no shortage of great Mexican food in LA, but this place is one of our faves! Plus their trademark "Margatinis" can't be beat!
NoHo Arts District
Tons of small theatres, cool bars, and hip restaurants, all within a few blocks in North Hollywood! Some of our favorites include The Federal for Brunch, El Tejano for Happy Hour, and the Idle Hour for the evening (and a historical landmark in the shape of a barrel!)
Hollywood Bowl
Jeff and Emily really solidified their relationship at the Hollywood Bowl years ago when they witnessed the amazing "Simpsons Take the Bowl" concert. And hey, there's a John Williams concert happening the same weekend as our wedding - just saying!! Could be a great way to bookend your epic weekend with us.
The Getty
Beautiful art, architecture, and gardens at the world famous Getty Museum! A museum experience unlike any other, and great for the whole family, if your kids are, like, totally cultured like we are.
Disneyland Park
Jeff was affiliated with Disney for years, as a cruise ship performer, and for a long while as the voice of Crush at Turtle Talk. You know it, you love it, you're in the SoCal area, so you might as well! Be sure to get those tickets in advance, though, as Galaxy's Edge is coming and the park is about to be packed...
