Things To Do

For our out-of-town guests here are some of our favorite spots in West Chester and the surrounding area. We hope you'll enjoy Chester County as much as we do!

Historic Downtown West Chester

West Chester, PA 19382

We love living right near this vibrant college town. There are tons of great restaurants and shops... it's a fun place to spend an afternoon walking around.

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348

A beautiful botanical gardens that draws thousands of international tourists each year. We had one of our very early dates in this magical location and also took our engagement photos here!

Brandywine River Museum

1 Hoffmans Mill Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317

Features a great collection of American art and in particular the local Wyeth family. We also had our second date here on a stormy Sunday in February 2017!

Victory Brewing Company Downingtown

420 Acorn Lane, Downingtown, PA 19335
, (610) 873-0881

This brewery started in PA -- it now has a widespread reputation and you can find their beers all over. They have fun tasting room with a restaurant as well.

Roots Cafe

133 East Gay Street, West Chester, PA 19380
, (610) 455-0100

West Chester is full of fantastic restaurants and this one happens to be where we had our first date!

Teca

38 East Gay Street, West Chester, PA 19380
, (610) 738-8244

We love the food at this restaurant right in downtown West Chester.

High Street Caffe

322 South High Street, West Chester, PA 19382
, (610) 696-7435

The jambalaya makes this New Orleans inspired spot worth a visit.

King of Prussia Mall

160 N Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406

For those itching to do a little shopping... the third largest shopping mall in the nation is just a short drive away!

Stroud Preserve

454 North Creek Road, West Chester, PA 19382

We love all the access to nature in Chester County and this preserve is one of Jay’s favorite walks. The nearby Four Dogs Tavern makes a nice post-walk stop (and is one of Emily’s favorites).

Valley Forge National Park

1400 North Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406
, (610) 783-1099

Valley Forge National Historical Park is the site of a Revolutionary War encampment, northwest of Philadelphia which was home to Washington’s Headquarters during part of the war. In addition to the great historic elements, there are also a ton of beautiful walking trails.

Suburban Restaurant and Beer Garden

570 Wellington Square, Exton, PA 19341
, (610) 458-2337

This casual spot is very convenient to the hotels and offers a fun laid-back vibe. There are also several other restaurants in this plaza - all right near the hotels!
