It occupies a historic brick and timber building that dates to the early 1900s and originally housed the Swift Printing Company. Vacant since 1969, the building served as the backdrop for scenes in the 1981 film Escape from New York, about a fictional post-apocalyptic Manhattan. Today Schlafly is Missouri’s largest locally owned independent brewery. Schlafly brews approximately 51 different styles of beer and you will have the opportunity to try some of them!

The Racquet Club of Saint Louis was founded in 1906 and remains in its original location. It claims the first squash club and heated indoor pool west of the Mississippi River. The magnificent stained glass windows of its facade depict early sporting activities of the club including motoring and aviation. Of singular significance, the Racquet Club was the site of a 1927 meeting of local businessmen who convened to fund another "first;" with an investment of $10,000 they backed Charles Lindbergh's landmark flight from New York to Paris. Now the Racquet Club will be the site of another historic event: Jamie and Emily's wedding celebration.
