Prepare for maximum mushiness. Drawn west to The Rocky Mountains, Colorado became our meeting place. One of us from the heartland of Iowa, the other from the coastal charm of Rhode Island. We first crossed paths as nurses on a busy med-surg unit, thrown into the rhythm of long night-shifts, chaotic workloads, and the kind of teamwork that bonds people fast. It didn't take long for our friendship to grow. Somewhere between the trailheads, ski lifts, and campfires, something deeper took root. We realized that life was better when we were exploring it together. What started out as an adventure to a new place turned into the beginning of our love story.
