Hotel
NOTE: This hotel is sold out for October 5. There are some women's hostel bunks and one queen room available for October 4, as of August 29. The McMenamins Edgefield hotel, just steps away from where the ceremony and reception will be held on Saturday evening, is a historic building with lots of character. Due to other events occurring on the Edgefield property during the same weekend, the hotel is sold out with the exception of our 11-room block rooms. Like most of the rooms at Edgefield, all of the blocked rooms are "European style" in that bathrooms are separate and shared between rooms. But don't worry: they're clean, and very nice! (We tried them!) None of the rooms at Edgefield have televisions or air conditioning, but the latter shouldn't be an issue in October. Separately, Edgefield also has some hostel-style bunks available for about $40 per person, per night, which we can also recommend. To reserve a room at Edgefield, check the website or call the hotel.
Hotel
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Best Western just half a mile from Edgefield. Rates can fluctuate but will likely be cheaper than Edgefield while offering a few more modern comforts, such as a fitness center, free breakfast and in-room wifi. To reserve a king or double queen room and receive an 8% discount from the regular rate, please call the hotel and mention the Burleson/ Williams wedding.
Flight
It's an easy 15-minute cab ride from the Portland airport to the venue in Troutdale, Oregon. For those who choose to rent a car, there's ample parking available at the venue and hotels.
Train
Cascades and Coast Starlight trains are great options for guests traveling from Seattle. Portland's Union Station is about 20 minutes from the venue.
