In light of the current public health crisis we decided to postpone our wedding celebration. We still got married on August 1st, 2020 in a private ceremony. The new date for our wedding reception is July 31st, 2021. An invitation for this new date will be forthcoming

We met on December 1st, 2018 when Emily stumbled across Henry's profile on CatholicMatch.com. She took one look at his photo and knew that she had to get to know him better. After scrolling through his profile looking for a way to start a conversation, she finally decided to ask him about something he knew a lot about: homebrewing. We went on our first date on December 18, 2018 to a local brewery and a few games of bowling.

During a visit to Ohio to attend a friend's wedding we had gone to Mass with Henry's mother. Emily had noticed that, while eating breakfast, Henry had been checking the weather on his phone pretty frequently, but didn't think much of it. It had been raining for most of the morning and she figured he just didn't want to drive back to Michigan in the rain. After getting home and helping Henry's mom with a few things around her house, Henry looked outside and upon realizing that the rain had finally stopped, suddenly asked Emily if she wanted to take a walk. She thought this was a little odd, but again, didn't think too much of it. After walking through the side yard at his mom's house, and taking one last picture as boyfriend and girlfriend, Henry took Emily's hands and got down on one knee. Thankfully he thought of everything and had asked his mom to hide and snap a few pictures of the special moment. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to get one of Henry on one knee because Emily was too excited and didn't let him stay down there too long.
