Technically, our story began in second grade at Powell Elementary, when Emily became the first person to tell Harrison that Santa Claus wasn't real. Looking back, that was either the beginning of true love or a lifelong grudge... we're still not entirely sure. While we first crossed paths as children, we officially met again in high school, and as cliché as it may sound, we never quite forgot about each other. We dated briefly during our senior year before going our separate ways. Looking back, we can clearly see that the Lord had a lot of growing to do in both of our lives before we were ready to love each other well. Through a few years of ups and downs, He drew each of us to Himself and transformed our hearts in ways we never could have imagined. When we reconnected in college, everything was different. The foundation of our relationship was no longer just friendship or attraction, but a shared faith in Christ. Since then, we have been inseparable. It has been such a gift to look back and see how intentional God has been in every chapter of our story. What once felt like twists and turns was all part of His perfect plan, and we are so grateful to be beginning this next season together as husband and wife.
