Hiking - Icicle Gorge Loop Trail
Incredible nature with minimal effort! It's deep in Icicle canyon and feels very wild, but is just a short loop hike. We went running here once and were blown away. Variable scenery as the creek transforms into a small gorge, and a magical swimming hole that is worth seeing even if your not into cold water. We ran into a black bear cub and Emily had to remind me not to cuddle it.
Hiking - Colchuck Lake Trail
This classic cascades hike takes you to a stunning alpine lake and steep mountain pass guarding the Enchantments. This one get's busy, so expect company and maybe start early.
Bouldering
Climbing on small rocks (aka bouldering) is one of our favorite activities and Leavenworth is the center of PNW bouldering! There are loads of places to go, just ask us and Harrison will give you the full spray down. If you're more into ropes, we can recommend places for that too.
Muchen Haus
We avoided going here for years, assuming it was a typical tourist trap. Turns out it is great. Liters of beer, and delicious brats (with good veggie options). What else do you need.
Whistlepunk Ice Cream
We love ice cream. Emily will eat any ice covered nonsense from the back of the freezer, but Harrison has some class. Regardless, they both really like this ice cream. We went here and then watched a professional jump rope competition.
Yodelin
Amazing broth oriented restaurant. We loved the name sake halibut bone broth soup.
