Yes it's fast food, but it's an Austin classic! Great burgers and veggie burgers and milk shakes, and right across the street from the church. Dine in or drive-thru, with plenty of other locations.
EAT: Tiff's Treats Cookie Delivery
The original location of the cookie delivery empire! (after a UT dorm room). Also conveniently located across from the Church for all your sugary needs.
DRINK: Deep Eddy Cabaret
The classic Austin dive bar where the locals actually hang out. They recently started accepting credit cards! Great burgers too.
DRINK: Cain & Abel's
The classic UT student bar.
DRINK: Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom
Great local brewery on the east side of downtown. Other great places to visit in this area is Lazarus Brewing and Revelry.
DRINK: The Rustic Tap
Large outdoor bar on West 6th Street, often has live music on weekends.

On the far side of UT's campus from the church, but still within the 40 acres!
DO: Bullock Texas State History Museum
First time or two in Texas? Definitely check out how awesome of a state we are by visiting! It's a couple blocks form the church just south of the Blanton art museum, and at the north end of the Capitol Mall that leads to the Texas Capitol.
