Maid of Honor
The bride and maid of honor make the perfect sister duo: Emily, sweet and sensitive, and Olivia, goofy and thick-skinned. Immediately following Olivia’s birth, big sister Emily was overcome with a fierce love– so severe, their parents worried about her pinching and squeezing Olivia too hard. She just LOVED being a big sister… almost too much! Growing up, these sisters would yo-yo between playing together one minute and tearing the other to shreds the next. They definitely fought like crazy for a longgg time, but have grown closer as they got older. They have had the privilege of being roommates their entire lives with the exception of their college years. Who knew the two who fought like Taylor Swift and Kanye West would eventually live together willingly? Olivia is so honored and grateful to be standing by her big sister’s side as she marries her big-hearted guy!

Mikey met Joe in 2012 when Joe started at Topgolf; they were both bussers back then and they quickly, as you say, "hit it off". Joe quickly became one of Mikey's best work friends and Mikey enjoyed hanging out with him while working. They both went to different departments at Topgolf; Mikey went into the kitchen and eventually got Joe to come and join the dark side and work in the kitchen for a while. This was when they started to really become best friends not only at work but outside. Mikey ended up feeling a part of his family as he was invited to multiple family "extravaganzas" at the ol' Bruno household. One fun fact that just proves how small the world is: Mikey's mother and father in law had their wedding reception at Bruno's family Banquet hall back in the 80's!! Crazy! Best of luck to Joe and Emily, and Mikey is so excited and honored to be a part of their wedding day and can't wait to see their future together!

Lauren and Emily met in Lauren’s boyfriend’s stinky dorm room in September 2012. Lauren’s immediate thought was, “I’m going to be friends with this girl.” Emily and Lauren shared the same major, same student teaching placements, and same apartment. To this day, Emily and Lauren bond over history nerd and teaching things. Lauren’s two favorite things about Emily are her huge heart and her wicked sense of humor. Lauren’s least favorite thing about Emily is her driving (Lauren still says prayers of thanksgiving that she did not die when Emily would drive to student teaching).

What does Michael know about Joe? Where to begin? Well, for starters, Michael is his younger brother, and they grew up together, which consisted mostly of Michael beating Joe in video/board/card games. But, more importantly, Joe is also the type of person who would do anything to make someone happy, whether as small as paying for a meal or as big as planning a weekend vacation. He always puts others first, and Michael give him full props. Michael states, "I love this man, and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for him, especially if it's sharing tips on how to win games. Honestly, I feel like he tries to lose."

Kylie met Emily their junior/senior year of college. Kylie's friends were in need of a 4th roommate for their senior year and Lauren knew Emily from the education program and she needed a place to live too! Emily started out a stranger and quickly became a close friend! It wasn't until after college that Emily and Kylie became even better friends. They both were living in De Pere after graduation and so hang outs happened often. Since Emily has moved back to the Lake Zurich area, they try and get together a few times a year with the ole roommates of Gries 304 as much as possible...and those have been some of their favorite weekends! When Emily first started talking to Kylie and the friend group about Joe, they couldn't wait to meet him. Fast forward to New Year's Eve of 2019/2020 a handful of the girlfriends got together at the good old Abbey Bar in De Pere. It brought back so many memories but was also special because they shared it with our guys! That night was Kylie's first time meeting Joe and right then and there everyone knew he was the one. Kylie loved getting to see their love grow and can't wait to see what the future has for them. Cheers to Emily and Joe :)

So how does Marco know about Joe? Well for starters he is his youngest brother, and he grew up with Joe almost being like a third parent to him with having such a large difference in age. But this didn’t mean Marco didn't get the classic younger brother treatment...whether it was getting in fights/arguments, receiving tough love, or most importantly playing video games together. Video games are really how the two bonded the most and will be for years to come, especially because Joe is the one who introduced Marco to video games and turned him into the huge nerd he is today. But most importantly Joe will continue to be the best older brother anyone could ask for. Between his hospitality to others, his big heart, love for his family, and the best bear hugs ever he really hits all the criteria. Marco couldn’t be happier for him that he found someone like Emily to give all this love to as well. Marco states, “ Joe is someone you can really depend on, and there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for him, even if its writing my groomsman bio 3 months late for him." Love you Joe and Em!

Let's take this back to 2014. Lauren tells Kylie and Kelsey, "I found a fourth roommate." It is safe to say that both Kylie and Kelsey were a bit apprehensive to an unknown roommate after having some less than stellar ones in years prior. When they all moved in - they realized, "okay, this girl is pretty cool." Then, slowly as the days turned into weeks and then into months, the girls got to know Emily more and more. Kelsey recalled being at Baba's one night and thinking, "damn, this girl is funny!" After each of them graduated and started into careers, Kelsey always looked forward to their random dinners halfway between Kenosha and Milwaukee (okay, they were all closer to Milwaukee, thanks Em!). Kelsey met Joe for the first time at a summer party and Kelsey remembers texting Emily the next day when she got home being like, "Joe is my favorite." And, now here they are! Cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Joe and Dominic go way back...who knows why they knew each other for this long….in all seriousness, Joe and Dom have been in each other's corner since day one. As cousins, they grew up right across from the street from one another and would hang out all the time. Endless days and nights playing Pokémon and other things that would drive their families crazy. Joe and Dom would be on the receiving ends of “discipline” from their grandmother Nonna Lucia while both their sisters got a free pass. Joe, Dom, and the rest of their cousins would try to hang out as much as possible that it got to the point where all the cousins would hide so their parents would leave for work and hopefully forget about them. As Dom and Joe grew older, they still kept in touch and would do most things together like working at Villa and TopGolf, going out with friends, coaching teams, discussing sports, and hanging out as much as possible. Now, Dom can’t help but notice how happy his cousin is with Emily. Through Joe's ups and downs, there’s nothing that compares to the high that Joe is on when he is with Emily. All the best for the great couple! Dom is beyond excited to have his cousin happy with Emily and be a part of their special day! All the best to Emily and Joe in their future!

Emily and Meghan met on a "friendship date" through their moms, who had gotten to know each other at church. Meghan had just moved to the area after college and Emily was home from college for the summer and they both really didn't know that many people in the area. What started out as an admittedly super lame situation blossomed into one of the most fun summers of country concerts, boat trips, football games, and an effortless friendship. Over the years, they've visited back and forth since Meghan moved to South Carolina and Emily is one of the friends that never shies away from sending a thoughtful note or checking in! Just as Emily was part of Meghan's wedding, Meghan is honored and grateful to be part of her and Joe's special day!

Ralph met Joey at a very young age at family parties running around the lobby of Villa Brunetti playing games with their fellow cousins. This eventually led to Ralph working at the banquet hall at the age of 14 and a half where he began to grow closer to Joey. After a couple years of funny stories, memories and shenanigans, rather working, Ralph got Joey to join him at Topgolf where they continued to become closer throughout the years. Going to Blackhawks games, opening night movie premieres, a couple vacations and some late night heart to hearts were just the beginning of their time together. Ralph is so happy to be apart of Joey and Emily’s special day and can’t wait for the day where they can make their future kids get a job together so they to can create the bond that Joey and Ralph share.

Melanie and Emily met shortly after Melanie’s birth in 1999. They hung out regularly and acted more like friends rather than cousins. Playing as kids they didn’t always see eye to eye, but as time went on they uncovered various shared interests and developed an appreciation for their difference in personalities. Planning to get piercings with each other during family gatherings quickly became the new normal which explains the abundance of piercings between the two. Emily’s gentle demeanor balances out Melanie’s dramatic nature when they’re together and while Joe is a lovely addition to their dynamic relationship, he is an enabler to Melanie’s chaos. The future holds countless third-wheeling occurrences. Cheers to the happy couple!

Johnny’s known Joey since he was old enough to hold a Gameboy. used to battle it out all the time and when their parents told them to put the devices down, they had a knack for still battling it out. From when they were wee lads running around the banquet hall to their young adult lives working side by side together, Joey has been a close friend, ally, and video game rival. Growing up, Joey would always have a rather positive outlook on what was going on and who he was with and Johnny found it profoundly admirable of him and it helped shape how he wants to see the world too. Knowing Joe and his fiancée, Emily, Johnny knows they’ll be making the world around them brighter, whether its with their personalities or their deep-rooted hospitality. Johnny says, “I’m so happy for you two and the adventures you’ll share together. May your lives be as blessed as your souls.”

Brandon met Joe aka Bruno to him, at the little slice of heaven called TopGolf Wood Dale. They bonded over talking about sports, video games, the overall madness of TopGolf, and so much more. But what really set Bruno apart that made Brandon realize Joe was going to be one of his best friends is his willingness to help and be there for others. He always put others first and did whatever was needed to help. It wasn't till later when Joe worked in the kitchen with Brandon that he learned he is truly one of the best guys around. Also makes wicked flatbread!
