Even though Ethan and Emily went to the same high school and shared many of the same friends, their paths somehow never truly crossed. Funny enough, Emily actually had a crush on Ethan when she was a freshman, but at the time they never really talked and life just went on. Looking back now, it’s crazy to think they were in the same halls all those years without knowing that one day they’d end up together. Years later, a random Snapchat conversation brought Ethan and Emily together when they least expected it. What started as simple messages quickly turned into nonstop conversations, late-night phone calls, and wanting to spend more and more time together. From the very beginning, everything felt easy and natural, like they had known each other forever. As a senior in high school, Emily had made a bet with a friend that they would get married one day. Fast forward to now, here they are getting married. Before long, they went from two people with mutual friends and shared hometown memories to best friends and each other’s favorite person. Since then, Ethan and Emily made so many memories together, from everyday moments to some of the biggest milestones of their lives. Through every season, they have continued to grow together, always supporting and encouraging one another. Their relationship has been built on love, friendship, laughter, and the kind of connection that feels meant to be. It’s funny to think that a freshman-year crush and one Snapchat message would lead them here, but they truly wouldn’t change a thing. What started as a chance connection turned into the greatest love story, and now they can’t wait to spend forever together and celebrate this next chapter with all of the people they love most.

Starting their relationship while attending East Carolina University made their story even more special. When they first started talking, Emily was a senior in high school trying to decide where she wanted to go to college, while Ethan was already a sophomore at ECU. What started as conversations and visits quickly turned into some of their favorite memories together. As Emily made the decision to attend ECU, their relationship continued to grow alongside all the excitement and changes that came with college life. From football games and late-night drives, dinners, and time spent with friends, ECU became the place where they truly built the foundation of their relationship. It was during those years that they not only grew together, but also learned how to truly love and support one another through every season of life. Some of their favorite memories were the simple moments they shared together, especially their trips to play mini golf, where a little friendly competition always turned into lots of laughs and unforgettable memories. Greenville quickly became more than just a college town to them; it became the place where they grew closer, made lifelong memories, and fell even more in love. Looking back, it feels so special that the place where Emily was deciding her future also became the place where their future together truly began. As always, roll pirates!
