If you know me (Emily)... you know I LOVE to tell the story of how we met any chance I can get. Ethan and I met at our freshman orientation at Jax State. I say it was a God moment because it truly was. The reasoning why is because I changed my major from nursing to communications only a couple of weeks before my orientation date. Not only that but when I had set up my orientation date, I did NOT want to choose one of the last dates they had open but something came up and I had no other choice but to choose the later date. I was so mad and upset. Now if you know Ethan, you know he is a BIG procrastinator and loves to do everything last minute. So he also chose one of the last orientation dates to go to. We were two of three communication majors at that orientation date... and we first spoke to each other soon after one of our academic buildings had the fire alarm go off (where we were registering for classes). So we all had to evacuate outside and for some reason I just really wanted to talk to Ethan because I knew of him from one of our mutual friends (and because he was really cute). Sooo that's actually how I built up the courage to talk to him FIRST and said "Do you know a girl named Karsen Spencer?" Of course he did, so we ended up talking for a while before we got separated after they made us move buildings. So after that, I didn't really get to see him again. But me being the girl I am, I found Ethan on Instagram, saw I had already followed him before (probably because I always thought he was cute), unfollowed him and then followed him AGAIN to get his attention so he could see I followed him. Because he had never followed me back in the past. And the funny part is, when I went to follow him right back after waiting a little while after unfollowing, I saw that he already had found my Instagram and followed me immediately before I could get the chance to follow him back. Then we of course started texting and texting for hours, FaceTimed that same night and I knew the SAME day of our orientation that I had found my soulmate. (I have video proof of this by the way). The rest is history and I truly cannot wait to marry my best friend!!
