Emily and Esham met at Called College during Emily’s second year and Esham’s first. They spent hours walking around Lake Williamson, sharing their life stories, their callings, and talking about everything. Esham was very open about his feelings and Emily was definitely nervous, but every night she would come home excited to tell her friends every little detail of their conversations and how she was falling in love. Their first unofficial date was at Starbucks, where Emily spilled coffee on herself and Esham rushed to grab napkins and tried to buy her two drinks that day. It was a small moment, but it perfectly reflects how they have always cared for each other through both the messy and joyful parts of life. Before officially dating, they spent two weeks praying separately and asking the Lord for guidance. During that time, they both felt a clear peace that God had brought them together. Their journey has not always been easy. They walked through long distance, difficult seasons, and unexpected challenges that tested them deeply, but through it all they continued to trust the Lord and remained committed to one another. On November 14, 2025, Esham proposed at the very lake where their story began, and Emily joyfully said yes. They are so thankful for how God brought them together and are excited to spend the rest of their lives loving the Lord and loving one another!
