One of our favorite trails that follows along the Truckee River all the way from Tahoe City to Pyramid Lake. Great for fishing, hiking, swimming, and mountain biking!

Animal Ark
Tucked away in the outskirts of Reno is the Animal Ark wildlife sanctuary for non-releasable animals who have been injured, abandoned, and/or unable to live in the wild following recovery/rehabilitation. We recommend going early to catch the bear feeding time!
Great Reno Balloon Race
One of Emily's favorite things to do is go to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. This usually occurs during the first weekend of September- if you make it out early, definitely do not miss this free event!
Pine State Biscuits | Reno
One of Eric's favorite breakfast places in town. Biscuit fried chicken sandwiches. They also have yummy bourbon cinnamon rolls and homemade poptarts!
Donner Train Tunnels
Where we got engaged and where we had our first hike together! Hike the abandoned train tunnels that overlook Donner Lake. Look out for lots of fun/interesting graffiti, massive icicles (in the winter), and views of Donner Lake- doggos are welcome. Bring a flashlight!
Pyramid Lake
Grab your ladder like a local and catch the biggest fish you've ever caught OR explore this majestic native land and swim in the turquoise colored water. Day use and fishing licenses required.

Emily's favorite plant shop that has other unique items. It is also next door to a local ceramic studio. Dickerson road is a tiny artsy road with fun, eclectic shops to check out!
Tahoe East Shore Trail
Beautiful urban trail that follows along Lake Tahoe. Great for walking, running, or biking. Gorgeous views and access to certain Tahoe beaches like Hidden Beach :)

An eclectic driving range, with fun targets to hit! Eric's favorite spot for hitting golf balls. Located at the GSR Casino.
