The Seattle Center is an arts, educational, tourism and entertainment center located near the Hampton Inn & Suites. It's home to the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum, the Museum of Popular Culture (MOPOP), the Pacific Science Center, and the Seattle Children's Museum. It's also where you'll find the Space Needle, Seattle's iconic observation tower.
Pike Place Market is a public market located on the Downtown Seattle waterfront. It's home to produce, specialty snacks, crafts, and more. Pike Place Market is where you'll find the fish market famous for their flying fish. The surrounding market area is also home to the first Starbucks coffee, the Gum Wall, the Seattle Aquarium, and the Great Seattle Wheel.
The Boeing Tour at the Boeing Future of Flight is North America's only publicly available commercial jet assembly plant tour. The Boeing Future of Flight is located about 25 miles north of Seattle in Mukilteo, WA. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes history of the corporation and the various Boeing planes. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance if you're planning a visit.
The UW has a beautiful campus worth a visit . Red square is the center plaza where, on a clear day, you can see Mount Rainier past the Drumheller Fountain. The quad is the grassy area surrounded by the liberal arts buildings and lined with cherry trees. Suzallo Library is the central library on campus. It's reading room is nicknamed the Harry Potter room for its Hogwarts resemblance. Also on campus are the Henry Art Gallery and the Burke Museum of Natural History of Culture. Other attractions in the area include Husky Stadium and the Burke Gilman Trail.
