Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Emily Ryan and Eoin Murphy
Philly is truly our home and we can't wait to share it with anyone new to the city or visiting for our wedding weekend. Below are some of our favorite spots, along with recommendations for historic sites and museums. Each of Philly's neighborhoods has something unique to offer, so there's plenty more beyond what made the cut for this list!
Jim's Steaks South St.

Jim's Steaks South St.

400 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Eoin and Emily agree that the best cheesesteak comes from Jim's on South. There may be a long line around the corner around dinner, so leave yourself some extra time. If you're from Philly or live here and don't agree, why are you on this page? You don't need things to do, you know where you're going. Get outta here.

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

Philadelphia's Magic Gardens

1020 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Art! Highly Recommend!

Morning Glory Diner

Morning Glory Diner

735 South 10th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

The best breakfast (or at least biscuits) you'll ever eat.

Nomad Roman

Nomad Roman

611 S. 7th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Our favorite pizza.

Spruce Street Harbor Park

Spruce Street Harbor Park

301 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Hammocks, beer, bright lights hanging from trees? What more could you want from a park? You may have to fight someone for a hammock, but don't worry people from Philly aren't as mean as they seem.

The Mütter Museum

The Mütter Museum

19 South 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
, (215) 560-8564

The College of Physicians of Philadelphia present day is a museum of medical history and medical oddities! Interesting and informative, but not for the faint of heart.

The Woodlands Cemetery and Mansion

The Woodlands Cemetery and Mansion

4000 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Nestled in West Philly is historic Woodlands 54 acre cemetery and mansion. Emily and Eoin visited here almost daily to walk or run when they lived in West Philly, and the front of the mansion is where Eoin proposed to Emily in August of 2020.

Mission Taqueria

Mission Taqueria

1516 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
, (215) 383-1200

Mission has delicious tex mex food, and of course, margaritas (a favorite drink of Emily and Eoin and probably everyone else on the planet) It also has pretty decor and you can't take a bad photo anywhere, so go here if you like Instagram.

Tattooed Mom

Tattooed Mom

530 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

How do we always end up at this bar?

Khyber Pass Pub

Khyber Pass Pub

56 South 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Beer and cozy comfort food. Come here if you'd like a sit in a quiet bar the night before the wedding!

Famous 4th Street Delicatessen

Famous 4th Street Delicatessen

700 South 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147
, (215) 922-3274

We were going to get our reception dessert from here, but just because we sold out when we found that the caterer provided a cake in their packages, doesn't mean you should be deprived of their ridiculous cookies and desserts. Eoin can also vouch for their fantastic chicken cheesesteak.
