Train
NJ Transit: Asbury Park Station
For our friends coming from New York City: The NJ Transit train leaves from Penn Station and takes less than 2 hours. You switch trains in Long Branch to the "Bayhead Shuttle," but it is right across the platform and almost everyone else on the train will be doing the same. The trains depart every 45-60 minutes.
Flight
Newark Liberty International Airport
Newark is the closest airport to Asbury Park (about an hour drive). With summer traffic, you might be better off taking NJ Transit from the airport. Once you get on the train at the airport, you'll follow the exact same instructions as detailed above.
