Question

What should I wear Friday and Saturday night?

Answer

For the Welcome Party Friday night, men can wear button down shirts and dressy jeans/slacks (no ties or blazers necessary). Women can wear casual dresses/sundresses, jumpsuits or anything of the like! The wedding is cocktail attire. For men, we ask that you wear a suit and tie. For the ladies, any length dress will do! While the event is not black tie, feel free to dress up! The Welcome Party will be in a covered pavilion with open sides. The ceremony and cocktails will be outside (weather permitting) and the reception will be inside. In general, there will be some walking around on grass and gravel paths, including at the ceremony so choose your shoes accordingly!

Question

What else should I pack?

Answer

The weekend will be full of plenty of activities for everyone, so depending on which activities you plan to partake in, we'd recommend any or all of the following: bathing suit, sneakers, hiking shoes, athletic attire, sandals, and sunscreen. Cedar Lakes also has their own equipment on site and will provide towels, so no need to bring your own!

Question

What’s the deal with food for the weekend?

Answer

In addition to the reception, all guests are invited to join us for our welcome dinner Friday night, poolside lunch Saturday and brunch on Sunday morning. Please let us know which meals you will be joining via your RSVP card sent along with the wedding invitation. For those staying onsite, please ensure that you make it to the designated meal times as there is no alternate food option available onsite. On-site guests will also be served Saturday breakfast. Should you need to stock up on snacks or provisions between meals, the Canteen offers beers, wine, small snacks, sodas, bottled water, and other goodies for purchase.

Question

What if I have an allergy?

Answer

Please let us know on the RSVP card or by emailing/texting one of us so that we can accommodate you!

Question

When can I arrive and when do I have to leave?

Answer

Check-in for guests staying on-site begins at 4pm. The estate will be exclusively open for us to use all weekend! Come when you can and enjoy time relaxing by the lake before the welcome party at 7:30. Checkout will be Sunday 12pm.

Question

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

Ubers are not reliable in this part of upstate so shuttles will be provided for guests throughout the weekend. If you are staying offsite, shuttles will be available for Friday night and throughout the day/night Saturday. If you plan to drive instead of take the shuttle, there will be parking available onsite throughout the weekend, including valet parking for Saturday night.

Question

Answer

Answer
