We met at Tipton-Rosemark Academy high school after being placed within the same senior project "outliers" group. Wary of each other before meeting, we ended up hitting things right off when we met that first day of senior year. Turns out, we had been in the same homeroom and had some of the same classes for the past two years; however, we had never spoken to or even noticed one another. From there, a playful friendship bloomed that later evolved into a beautiful relationship.
Towards the end of our senior project, he asked if I would like to go on a "trial date," just to see if we thought things may work out between the two of us. (This was later found out to be just simply a way for him to test the waters and see if I was even open to "giving him a chance.") At the end of that "trial," during a walk in a little park along Brunswick Road in Lakeland, TN, he asked if I would do him the pleasure of being his girlfriend. I said yes.
While celebrating 1 year and 8 months together during a picnic at the same park he asked me out, Drew distracted me by exploiting my love of dark clouds, asking me to look at them once I stood up to leave. When I turned back around, he was down on one knee. Of course, I said yes. Always.
Two days after celebrating four years together, we shall celebrate the joining of our souls.
