Every great love story begins with a serendipitous encounter, and for Donavon and Emily, fate had its own timing. Though they knew of each other during their years at Colony High School, it wasn’t until after graduation that their paths truly crossed. Emily wasn’t sure about giving him a chance, but the promise of happy hour appetizers and a plate of buffalo wings was too good to pass up. Lucky for Donavon, those wings turned out to be life-changing. Fast forward six amazing years, and Donavon knew it was time to take the next step. Knowing how much Emily loves the holiday season, he planned the perfect proposal at the Lavender Farms Winter Festival, surrounded by glowing Christmas lights. Under the twinkling canopy of lights, Donavon got down on one knee and asked Emily to spend forever with him.
