David and I first met at Allegheny College during our sophomore year. A blind date set up by our friend Caitie McMekin turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to us! I still remember our first date at Julian's and how nervous and excited I was. We talked for hours that night and I knew David was someone special. Allegheny holds many special memories, from our first kiss to the first "I love you", it is the place where we fell in love and decided to spend our lives together. Together, we have moved to new cities and have gone on many adventures, but we will always cherish our time at Allegheny and the memories made there.
Emily and I became engaged on the morning of June 13, 2020 in front of Philadelphia's iconic city hall. Although a bit difficult to plan due to the COVID pandemic, I was able to convince her we had to get dressed up for a fancy event that morning. Secretly, I had her family come in from Lancaster and mine come in from Pittsburgh. As we crossed Broad Street in front of city hall, I got down on one knee. Emily was so surprised and I am so grateful that we were able to bring both families together to celebrate such a special moment in our lives. This was truly one of the happiest days of our lives and the start of many memories as one family. We are so thankful for the love and support from our friends and family and cannot wait to celebrate together on June 11th, 2022!!
