So we met like many people seem to be meeting now a days. Online. We know, very exciting and unique. Haha all jokes aside we started talking on a dating website and he asked me out. Our first date was fun. He decided to take me mini golfing. I hated golfing, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I was terrible, as expected and he was pretty decent which I was a little bitter about because I can be very competetive, but he was cute and I liked talking to him so I got over it but still continued to miss almost every shot. Anyway, we played way past closing by accident, so we didnt get to finish our game. Which was okay because I was one swing away from losing a ball in the pond. Then we decided to get rolled ice cream. We stayed a long time just talking and then again realized the place was closed. Not much has seemed to change since then. Time still seems to pass in a blink of an eye, and we never seem to realize it until the day is over and we are left wishing for more time. Now I guess we will have all the time in the world. - Emily
So asking Emily to marry me was something that her and I had been talking about for a good length of time. I looked for rings on and off for a couple months kind of buying my time because my younger brother was getting married soon and we both wanted all of the attention not focused on us as we are both private individuals. So we were getting into the hoilday season and I was getting more impaitent about finding the perfect ring and I could tell that Emily was hoping that I’d pop the question soon. One weekend as we were out shopping I became increasingly impaitent about asking her, so as my mom was joining us on this shopping excersion, I talked her into distracting Emily as I went to the store and bought the ring. It worked out well as I played it off as I needed to go to a store to look for a Christmas present and said that I was unable to find what I was looking for. The next day came and it happened to be Sunday so we were all laying around just relaxing and being lazy when I started to figure out that this would be a great day to surprise her and pop the question! I started joking around and teasing her about various subjects and how she didn’t get to be in family things because she wasn’t family yet. (I know it was mean but it really set her off and irrated her and it’s funny when she is mad me). After doing this a couple of times I went downstairs to get the ring, then I called my brother, sister-in-law, and mom down to let them know my plan. She was curious about what we were all up too down there and my brother happened to yell up at her that she wasn’t apart of the family yet and couldn’t know which everyone laughed about for a minute! Then as we all made our way upstairs again I told Emily to come over and help me with something by the Christmas tree. As she did, I asked her if she wanted to be apart of the family, then I got one knee and asked her to marry me. She answered yes! -Daniel
