How We Met

4.21.16

We first met at our favorite place to dance, The Cowboy Saloon. I had become friends with Cooper's oldest friend, Nate and childhood friend, Anna. The first time met Cooper, I was with Nate and Anna at the Cowboy. He was with another girl so I didn't pay much attention to him. I ran into Cooper again at a friend's house, he was studying for an exam and I tried everything I could to get him to talk to me. If you know Cooper, you know he doesn't have a lot to say. After that night, I was determined to get to know him. I asked Anna if she could set us up, she told me he was talking to another girl, I asked her "well are they dating?" and she said no. I replied "Okay, then may the best girl win." and the rest is history.

The Proposal

1.8.20

We were on our annual trip to Mexico. We were getting ready for a fancy dinner out and everyone wanted to take pictures before we left. We took a few and the whole time Trevor kept saying how horrible the lighting was and we needed to go over by the gazebo. Cooper took my hand as we walked over, as we came around the corner I noticed the gazebo all lit up with candles and lights and music playing. It immediately clicked in my head what was going on. Cooper walked me into the gazebo, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. My response is not exactly appropriate, but I can tell you this much, it was the most enthusiastic yes I have ever said.
