How We Met

3-17-2012

Chuck and Emily met on Saint Patrick’s Day 2012 at Spampinato’s, a bar in Conshohocken. Chuck was there with his friend Lance and a few others; while Emily was there with her best friend Allie. It was an end to the night for both of them after a long day. As Chuck made his way to the dance floor that night … Emily’s version: Lance’s other friend asked Emily to dance and she politely declined. Chuck saw this as his cue and asked Emily if she wanted a drink. Long story short they ended up dancing and the rest is history! Chuck’s version: Chuck noticed one of his friends get rejected by Emily, but once she took a glance at Chuck she knew right away that he was the one. Chuck immediately ordered two shots of Tequila to increase his chances and now they’re getting married.

The Proposal

11-21-18

It was the night before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 when Chuck proposed to Emily. If you haven’t seen the video that was filmed of the proposal, you need to! Emily’s version: Emily had a hair appointment after work and was excited to go out later that night for the Thanksgiving Eve festivities. She came home to Chuck announcing that he had a surprise and came out of the bathroom into the kitchen holding an eight week old Boston Terrier puppy! She had no idea a puppy was coming! Seconds later Chuck said that he had another surprise. Then Emily’s mom, dad, brother, best friend Allie, and Chuck’s mom came out from the bedroom. Chuck then got down on one knee and proposed! Emily was overjoyed with love and emotion and it was the best surprise she has ever had! Chucks version: Chuck knew how much Emily loved dogs and he knew there was no way she could say “No” if a dog was a part of his proposal. After several weeks of research on which dog to choose, he settled on a cute Boston Terrier, later named Luna. When she turned 8 weeks old, he picked Luna up to take her to her new home. On the ride home he started making arrangements to propose that same night; having purchased the ring a week prior. He called Emily’s parents (Larry and Linda), her brother (Max), her best friend (Allie) and his mother (Rhonda) to partake in the moment. All were available to meet at the apartment they were living in at the time. Emily had a hair appointment that evening, so there was ample opportunity to set up the surprise. When Emily arrived home, everyone was hiding in the bedroom. Chuck came out holding Luna and right away Emily melted. He then initiated another surprise by getting on one knee and he asked Emily to marry him (at that moment, everyone else came out the bedroom). Emily said, “Yes” and the celebrations began. Nothing was planned prior to picking up Luna, but everything worked out perfectly. Chuck is without question, The Man!
