While Captiva is noted for its quaintness and quietude, Sanibel is where you can find a little more action. There are several dining and shopping choices, many of which are located right on the main street, Periwinkle Way. Sanibel and Captiva are both recovering from Hurricane Ian, so dining and shopping may be more limited, but the locals appreciate any and all support.
